I've had high blood pressure for the past week. I'm 38 weeks. It's been between 140/80-160/110. I got bad headaches and nausea over the weekend so I went back to the doctor today. Still no protein in my urine so we're doing a 24 hour urine test today. However, the doctor told me that if the headache gets severe, just go onto the hospital. It's getting pretty bad but it kind of feels like a bad sinus headache. My question is-what was/is your headache supposed to be like when it's related to high blood pressure? Mine hurts between my eyes, under my eyebrows, and both temples. Any advice is appreciated.

Mine is across the forehead and into the temples. I can tell when my blood pressure is causing the headache because i vomit, i can see spots and paracetamol and codeine don't take the edge away at all. At times it also makes me dizzy because of visual disturbances.
Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) is a form of high blood pressure in pregnancy. It occurs in about 5 percent to 8 percent of all pregnancies. Another type of high blood pressure is chronic hypertension - high blood pressure that is present before pregnancy begins. Pregnancy-induced hypertension is also called toxemia or preeclampsia. It occurs most often in young women with a first pregnancy. It is more common in twin pregnancies, in women with chronic hypertension, preexisting diabetes, and in women who had PIH in a previous pregnancy.
