Help meeee? Percentages?
Hi!
I just have a quick question about percentages.
Say in a geometric sequence R = an increase of 70%
so that would be 1.7, right?
But what would it be if it's a DECREASE of 70%? 0.7 or 0.3 ?
Please explain!

it's 0.3, because you subtract the .7 from 1
Increase is "+" decrease is "-"
So yes a 70% increase is 1+0.70 =1.7 while a decrease would be 1-0.7= 0.3
