My uncle had Schizophrenia. There are some ok cases, but some are horrible , And my uncles was horrible ! He wanted to kill my mum and grandma and other other uncle who was 11 at the time, but now he is stable and active since he has tablets , just tell her everything will be ok soon :)
Her GP could most commonly get her a therapist or someone to aid her with it, the great you can do unless she will get support from a health care provider could be to just stay along with her, keep her company (and ensure she does not do any self-damage) if its particularly unhealthy then she would feasible get a permenant carer, however i'm not certain. Quality wager would be a general practitioner/GP
Take her to a good Holy Roller Church that speaks in tongs and claims the gifts of God and cast that damn demon out of her. You want be sorry.
