I want to create a Login Page called login.html and create a link in my main page for the login.html.
I want to include login and password. I want it to be able to have the asteriks as the password is typed. Thank you so very much.

this is totally no longer likely that your college has a javascript login. There could be no factor. every person might desire to look on the source code and easily examine the password. besides - no this is no longer available until eventually your college has an API which contain open id. Which i surprisingly doubt. keep interpreting pal.
You can't do it with html, you need a server side scripting language such as PHP.. and your pages will have an extension of .php. .. e.g.. login.php
You will also need to understand MYSQL which is a database that will store usernames / passwords.
W3schools is good place to start learning PHP/Mysql.... http://www.w3schools.com/
As for getting asteriks/dots to appear when a password is typed, that's simple enough just use password as the input type e.g....
<input type="password" >
