I am building a boat dock on a lake lot. How do I set the post under water? I don't have a clue how to do this. I thought I might be able to drive them with a big sledge hammer or something, but how does everyone else to this that put in boat docks? Water is low now and I can set a few that are the closest to the bank. Lets see what you people can come up with! Hope it is better that what I did..

do you have a post vibrator... if you do you just put it on top of the post and turn it on. It vibrates the post so much it goes into the sand
