Rahul, Since this is yahoo, try Yahoo Geocities or Google Page Creator. Just take some time to read some of their tutorials. They are both decent web page creators. Geocities is better because it has been around longer. Google Page Creator is still in beta.
Owning a website like yourname.com takes some experience and knowledge. And you have to be able to enter into a contract to own a domain. And you need to comprehend HTML and Javascript. The ability to make graphics on your own.
Well obviously, it all starts with content. When I first started web design, I was so fascinated that I made really random pages with no real point... of course you can do that for a while, if you really want, lol.
But I'd try going to Lissa Explains It All (www.lissaexplains.com), it has some very good tips and explanations. Also, you can visit my site if you want, a good way to learn about an HTML technique is, when you see it being used on a page, right click and view source. You're welcome to do that on my site, http://www.wiseowlcreations.biz/
Hope I helped.

Also, I agree that formal classes would be helpful, but they are not at all necessary. I don't think I learned ANYTHING from my HTML class. I started out learning HTML from Neopets, to be totally honest, and I just gathered knowledge from random places since then.
for designing a website you have to pass some steps.
1) you shall find out what you want.( purpose of website or identifying and defining the final goal)
2)split all aims to small parts.(defining the midway goals which they can make your final goal together)
3)defining one or many pages for each middle goal
4)make relations between pages.
this is the common steps for designing a web site but implementing depends on many things . ..... the language you use , your hosts ability and much more .
any way if you want , you can contact me for talking about it and I will be very happy if I can help you to design, implement and deploying your web site. feel free to contact.
if you want to contact me my yahoo ID is mzr_ir and also you can contact by email at [email protected]
if you have no idea on how to do it, take a class for HTML code, or you can just search for HTML code and read on how to make webpages. But that is only basic stuff, if you really want to get into it you need to take classes
