Hamsters do tend to have black/dark eyes. My new hamster Crackers' eyes seem to have a reddish tint in them. I once had a blind russian hamster and her eyes were milky white, so i think from what you describe, it's normal.
A hamster having dark eyes is normal, the only other major eye color is red for white or albino hamsters. But if you notice she/he is running into things and doesn't seem to notice your movement then go see a vet.
