I have a 1974 chevy c-10 pickup. I am not able to remove the old one to replace the new one. Help.

put the key in it turn it to accessories postion and look below the front of the keys on the colum and you will see a little hole there put a piece of wire or a small nail in it and pull on the ignition at the same time
