La Jolla beach is actually near Torrey Pines Road, Prospect Street and La Jolla Blvd. in San Diego near Interstate 5 and is a nice place to visit. Maybe because you joined the two words into Lajolla is why it wound up in Los Angeles instead of San Diego.

Yes, La Jolla is in San Diego County. It's a very pretty place and there are several beaches there. I went to Torrey Pines State Beach for my birthday a couple of years ago.

If you have a chance go to Coronado Beach in San Diego. It's one of the prettiest in the USA.
