My friend named Mario is 13 years old. And well, today I had lunch with him and all of a sudden, he starts laughing. Not that little giggle type - but that HISTARICAL laugh. As if someone was tickling him. I just stared at him and asked what was up. And he said that it was a secret and that he couldn't tell me. He said I would think he was crazy.
It wasn't until I pushed it out of him - he told me that when he was five, he swallowed like umm, a necklace. He said it was accidental. And that his Mom took him to the hospital and the Doctor said he was fine, that there was nothing in his body. That night, he dreamnt with an old guy - the guy claimed he was dead. And that Mario was the chosen one. He said that every 1000 years, the guy picks someone to help humanity. And that this time it was Mario.
Mario said that he was given powers such as Flying, Reading Minds, and such. But he told me that the guy said he couldn't fully have them until he was 15. He said that he could create other person's like him. He said that he created another him - a good one and a bad one. And that that was why he was laughing. He said that his twin makes him laugh.
And that the "others" (I'm not sure who they are) are looking for them to tear his body apart and find the necklace he swallowed.
I'm sort of scared.
And he told me that since I know this I'm going to die.
Is he Schizophrenic? I promised him I wouldn't think he was crazy, but now, it's sort of... weird. Help?

If he really believes what he's telling you is the truth I think you should be a little worried about him. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and I had people who weren't real talking to me and telling me jokes. I also believed an army of shadow people were out to kill me because I had the special power of being able to see them. So what he's talking about does sound pretty similar to what I experienced. He could also be telling you lies, that's always a possibility.Maybe you should tell the school counselor or a trusted teacher/adult. Because if this boy Mario really does have some sort of mental illness, it would be best to catch it early so it doesn't progress into something worse.
no, he just has an overactive imagination. i know someone with schizophrenia, and i dont think your friend has it at all. dont be scared.
