I'm white and my boyfriend's pacific islander?
I have never dated someone outside my race before. I'm not sure exactly what a pacific islander is, but I know that he's part asian and he's a little darker than me and I'm worried what people will think and it does bother me a little that he's darker than me. I think I'm falling in love with him though. Would this be considered interracial dating?

Since you have never dated outside your race I can see why you are nervous about what other people are thinking. I think that some people will judge you just because you are dating outside your race, but there are many people who accept dating outside of someones race and it does not bother them a bit. Besides, life is too short to be caring about what other people think.

If skin color affects how you think about dating, then you shouldn't be with someone outside your own little comfort zone. Otherwise you're likely to break his heart the first time someone makes a comment.
