My brother and I both have separate Minecraft accounts and wanted to play together. We are both connected to the same router. He opened his server for LAN. I typed in that 0.0.0.0:blah number it gives into Direct Connect on multiplayer. Then if just says "Failed Conection: connect". It won't work vice versa when I open my server to LAN. What are we doing wrong?

Yeh, that is a problem with the minecraft LAN feature. The 0.0.0.0 don't take you anywhere. You have to find the computer IP. If you use windows you can find it by searching "CMD" in the start menu. When the command prompt show up you have to type "ipconfig" then you will get some lines of info. You will see a line with "IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : x.x.x.x" the x's are showing as numbers for you. Type this numbers instead of "0.0.0.0" =)
your acquaintances can no longer connect a server in case you have a mod which modifications the gameplay. this is large in case you have toomanyitems or xray mod yet once you stuff like divine RPG, persons won't have the skill to connect. it may be the face that they have got not got the main modern minecraft version. examine in the event that they have version a million.5.a million
