The task bar is wider than it should be as well as the icons on my desktop. I have changed the resolution to what it should be and I've tried system restore but nothing has worked so far. The colour scheme for the task bar and window tabs has disappeared as well. I have an Asus K53U and am using windows 7. Please help? I have no idea what went wrong although it seems that it could be the Asus live updates that started this confusion for some reason.

trying to place my mouse at the edge of the task bar to resize it does nothing this also fixes no other problems ongoing...
