I tried to watch a movie and it worked fine but if I play video recordings the sound won't play, same for sound recordings. My microphone is working, and it's something about my laptop because it doesn't matter if I use DVD player or Windows Media player, the same happens, so I don't know what's wrong.

you could bypass into your sound profile and notice what audio equipment are chosen as your present day and default audio equipment. administration Panel --> Sounds --> then discover the audio equipment and make optimistic the audio equipment which you're desirous to apply, no count number if or no longer they be geared up in audio equipment or others you plug in are those that are chosen.
I'm not sure,but you should get a new Sound and Video Card
