One of my bridesmaids just asked me what I want to do for my Bachelorette party. I'm having a hard time deciding because everyone in my wedding party is strapped for cash so it has to be something inexpensive. She mentioned gambling but that requires money. Do you have any suggestions as to what we could do that would not require a whole lot of cash? I live in Northern CA if that helps.
Also, she asked me if I wanted a Bridal Shower but I'm thinking of declining. I already live with my fiance and I think Bridal showers are for the couple getting ready to move in together. My MOH (my sister) is supposed to arrange the Bridal Shower but she is completely uninvolved in my wedding, and I feel bad the Bridesmaids have to pick up her slack. Would you want a bridal shower if you were in my situation?

I have been living with my fiance for almost 4 years (been engaged for almost 2 months) bought a house together 10 months ago. I see no point in a bridal shower...we have everything we need. We are just going to say when we send out our cards all gifts in cash or to Lowes since there is things we want to fix up on our house.
What about a good old bar hop? Call up friend or a friend mom to be your DD pack as many people as ya can in to a car & go bar hop. Hit all the local fun bars. If there is a cover charge flirt your way out of it or at least for cheaper. Its not like when a bachelorette party pulls up no one buys them drinks! As group this won't cost very much at all. Bars love that kinda stuff since guys will kill to buy the girls a shot. Buy the shirts & crazy p enis necklaces to go with it!
We did a sex-toy party for my best friends bachelorette party, everyone was under 21 so we did party & just drank at the MOH's house.
For my bachelorette party, I'm going to have my MOH rent a party bus & hotel rooms or come back to my house. Everyone pitches for the bus...really over 10+ people its not going to be much. You can go with a limo or just a simple van. Either way have fun its your last night as a "single" woman!
There's no need for a bridal shower if you already have everything you need, but if your bridesmaid really want to they could throw you a tea party, just so your older relatives get to celebrate with you.
I was at a bachelorette party recently that was at the brides house. Everyone brought their own drinks and we played karoke on the playstation. It was great fun and everyone got involved.
my friend got married in june and for her bacherlette party we went to a bridesmaid house played bridal games we each pitch in like $10-20 for pizza and the girl who hosted it already had alcohol there then we went to a night club down the street.
if you feel like u dont need a bridal shower and you and your fiance already have everything u need then its ok not to have one.

I can understand not wanting a bridal shower-maybe you could talk to your bridal party and ask for a themed shower like lingerie.
well, I think that there are lots of things you could do for a bachelorette party,
just rent a couple of rooms in a local hotel - you could split costs.
Go out clubbing for the last hooorah...lol
have a pool party and combine it with the bridal shower if you wanted
etc.
just ideas...hope it helps
Not sure EXACTLY where you live in Northern CA - but if there is a beach nearby.......can you do a bonfire, with food, wine, drinks and bring blankets, chairs and just relax and hang out?
You can start by going during the day to the beach, then plan to stay into the evening and do the bonfire at night.
Go out to a restaurant, or happy hour somewhere. See if everyone can contribute $20 and do something at home. Good luck and have fun!
How about Karaoke? Fun, not expensive and everyone gets to make a little bit of an idiot of themselves after one too many :)
Midget strippers are half the price
