I am currently in 10th grade. My mom is moving out of the district, but my dad is staying in the district (they're divorced, have been for seven years) and I've been considering transferring schools for my junior and senior year. All my friends are opposed to it because they don't want to lose me, but I'm only moving about a half hour away and i'll have my license so it's not like i would never see them. I live in a really small town right now and I don't like my job that i've had for almost two years but there's no other places to work here, whereas moving i would have a lot more choices. Another thing is, my school is not the worst but defintely not the greatest. No one is motivated and i guess that makes it easier for me to strive but i want competition. At the new school it's in a better area, where that would be more likely. The only thing stopping me is my friends. I've always stayed in the same school district, so it would be a big change for me but I think it'll be worth it. Any thoughts from someone who's been in the same situation or any thoughts in general?
