Its been a month that I am not getting proper sleep. I am afraid that I am suffering from sleep disorder or depression. I think I need help, but I dont want to visit a doctor for this. The frequency of not sleeping has increased since last 2 weeks. I am a hypothyroid patient since last 10 years and taking medicines for this. Since 2007 I am suffering from urticaria. though in 2009 it got cured somehow, but now again it has recurred. I am taking cetrizine and atarax alternatively for it when ever I get an allergic reaction. As sedative is there in these medicines i get sleep after 10 to 15 min. But thn the next whole day i feel drowsy. I dnt want to get habitual of these medicines. When I dont take these medicines I am not sleeping, and when i get sleep I feel my body is shaking in sleep and I get up. Its the most discomfortable feeling, I am unable to explain. When i get up I feel my heartbeats are very fast and i am sweating. This happens for 2 or 3 minutes and then i dnt fell sleep again. I am tired of all this. I want to sleep properly and I dnt know what should I do. My mind has stopped working these days. I dnt feel like taking to anyone, I dnt feel like eating, I feel sick all the day round. If somebody can help me I will be very grateful. PLEASE DONT ADVISE ME TO GO TO DOCTOR. Help me plzzzzzzz..

Sleep is a dynamic complicated condition during which brain performs quite a lot of activities and produces bone, nervous and muscular tissues and sleep disorders are all the conditions which slow down or prevent all those critical tasks. A night full of sleep goes through different stages (stages 1, 2, 3, 4, and REM) and each stage differs from one another. REM sleep may particularly be very important stage considering good health. Presence of certain irregularity or sleep disorders may cause detrimental effects on health. Sleep disorders are a group of disturbance characterized by disruption in an individual’s amount of sleep, timing and most importantly the quality of sleep. It hampers daytime activity level and promotes fatigue. It is very essential to have its proper treatment without any delay.
Go do a sleep study. Not getting enough sleep and lack of rem sleep can stress the heart out. Doctors told me I wont.live past the age of 25. Serious cause I dont get rem sleep, basicly dont dream. And I dont have sleep apnea either. But I can sleep for days and still be tired.
