I've been at this for two days. This is the most frustrating experience of my life. I know nothing about technology, and trying to make this work is the most ridiculously complicated and unnecessarily complex process I've ever seen.
Here's what I've done:
- Downloaded and installed whatever was on the hard disk included.
- Downloaded and activated the license for the AI, and registered the product.
- Connected my microphone to the Input 1 jack on the interface.
- Pulled out a significant amount of my hair.
I'm trying to use it to Stream on Twitch, but there's no sound being recorded at all. I've tried recording in Studio One 3 (Prime), Audacity, and OBS Studio. There is no sound being picked up from my microphone whatsoever. I have an Audio Technica 2035 Condenser Microphone, bought together.
It's been two days since I emailed customer support and have heard nothing. This is such a bad experience, I know nothing about technology and just want to record my music. There's no reason this should be so complicated. Please help.

Condenser mic, eh?
Does it need phantom power, as many such mics do,
or does it operate on an internal battery?
Have a local expert look at your equipment and advise you.
On the Steinburg make sure the +48V switch is on. If that still does not work try recording something straight into the line inputs on the back just to make sure the thing will record at all.
