Just a few minutes ago my uncle told me about him, my aunt, and two cousins going camping at Chief Hosa campground in Golden, CO. He said my aunt and him were talking about bears and what to do if you see one, he said to play possum. Just then on the top of a hill leading into the valley they see a dark bear like thing, my first thought was just a bear. He then said there were multiple fences between the bear and them, it walked straight through. I then thought maybe a black dog (the spirit) but he said it was too small even though the black dog is larger than average, the apparitions gut seemed to hang down blocking visual from underneath unlike a dog which has like an entire window. He continued to say it walked past them through yet another fence, and disappeared last he saw. I did some reasearch on the campground, and on the "bear" itself and found nothing. So what might this be? Could it just be a bear spirit, or the headless bear creature said to be an unbaptised child? Thank you for your answers, and I dont care if you don't believe me or think I'm dumb.

I think that animals have souls and spirits and can linger in the afterlife just as humans do. I have read on many accounts of people seeing and hearing animals spirits. Dogs barking, horse hooves clattering on roads ect. Many different examples. I would think that if a animal spirit is a tramped in an area it would be more residual. Meaning it does not know you are there it is just plays over and over again like a tape recorder with no knowledge of you being there. Just my opinion.
