What does it mean if i'm always having these awful stomach aches when i'm hungry? they're not normal stomach aches, it hurts right from where my tummy and sometimes up to below my chest. sometimes i'm not even feeling hungry at all, i'm just having an emptier stomach, and it hurts again. it hurts mostly on the left side too. and it makes me hard to stand up straight. it doesn't feel like the normal kind of stomach ache, you know, it's like sharp pains, and i'll feel like throwing up.
please help me!! it fades away little by little as i eat. i'm a girl and i'm only 14. i'm sure it isn't period cramps although i'm having my period because it is different.

acid reflux.
keep your diet to steamed raw veggies; no fried food; no acidic food; no spicy food etc.
It sounds as if you are having too much acid in your stomach. Try eating something as soon as you wake up such as crackers or toast and follow with a healthy breakfast (a healthy blend of protein and carbohydrates such as oatmeal with berries and a few almonds or whole grain toast with peanut butter and a yogurt etc.) . Have something with you to snack on at school 1/2 way between breakfast and lunch and then again between lunch and the end of the day. Good snack choices would be a yogurt, granola bar, peanut butter crackers etc. Also, be sure to limit any acid filled drinks such as coffee, soda including diet soda. By eating small portions of healthy food throughout your day you will give your body the energy it needs and avoid your stomach being totally empty which allows the acid to wreak havoc. You can offset these stomach aches. If you try the above and still have problems then you should see your dr. Good luck.
