i have a strange pain in my chest, if i lean forward for a minute it hurts really bad around my lower left ribs, and if i'm leaning back the pain shifts to my back.... so apparently it is from inside my body.... anyone have an idea what it is? could it be from doing too much physical work?

you left out a lot of details, yes hard labor can strain and over use muscles so that they hurt later, you don't mention if you have had a cough, that can cause much the same symptoms, can ou take in a really deep breath and hold it to a count of 10 and then blow out all the air you can, does this change the pain, if so it would support the possible pleurisy theory, have you recently eaten, a larger than usual amout or a spicier than usual taste, these can cause indigestion. If the pain is above a 5 on a level 0 being no pain and ten beeing the worst you have ever had and has lasted longer than 30 minutes you should tell your parents, no parents around then you should tell any adult you trust to see if they think you should call your parents or if the pain level is above 6 and doesn't go away call your parents a 911 call may be in your
future. Pain is alwaways a symptom of somethig, you just need to be more specific to an adult that can see for themselves what is going on...
A few years ago I had Costochondritis. It was very painful for me because I also had a baby that I had to pick-up and carry. It took a long time to clear up and I had to go to the Dr. and get an anti-inflamatory medicine - that really helped. Here is a link for more info on Costochondritis.
It might be pleurisy, which is the irritation of the pleural membrane. Its fairly common and should pass within a day. If not, check with a GP. Its better safe than sorry.
