I have the same problem!
I'll be 15 in a couple of weeks, and I got rrreeeeaaaallly bad purple stretch marks on my inner thighs and my butt.
I bought this lotion stuff called Palmers, and it's specifically for stretch marks. I started using it every time I got out of the shower, and now the marks are basically invisable!
You can't even tell that they're there, unless you get up super close, and nobody is that close to my butt or thighs anyways. haha
Palmer's lotion really works though, for real. And if you can't find that specific brand, just use anything with alot of cocoa butter in it. Like Suave skin care with cocoa butter.
Everybody gets stretch marks! Don't let it mess with you that much. :) They'll fade with time.
Good luck and God bless!
Every woman has stretch marks. They start out purple and later fade and are less noticeable, there are surgeries that can reduce the look of stretch marks but that leaves scars itself. Stretch marks are hereditary there is nothing you can do about them. Cocoa butter is the best thing to use on the stretch marks you have. Cocoa butter improves the elasticity of the skin. You'll be ok, they will fade. I have them on my inner arms, legs, and breasts, got them at 13 or 14. So just know that it is a woman thing and don't let it get to you.
I have/had the same problem!! I went through a hugee growth spurt (I'm not fat or anything just taller w/ muchhh larger breasts) and i had the stretch marks on my chest and on my legs. I felt the exact same way!!! and yea it does make your confidence go down by like 93436473435 miles. BUT after like a month or 2 mine started to fade and are still fading, and they are almost completely gone. I didnt use any of the lotions or oils or anything like that either. Your body just needs time to fix the skin. But there are oils and lotions that you can buy at drugstores that could probly speed up the process!!
Hope I Helped=)
Seriously, stretch marks are not that bad. The problem is that you have unrealistic expectations of what a woman's body is supposed to look like. If you want to be happy, accept your body the way it is. If you want to be perfect, then accept that you will never be happy (because you will never be perfect.)
It's a hard lesson, but better you learn how to love yourself now than go through years of hating yourself.
If you go to the mall, look at the models, and mannequins, and advertisements in the windows of the clothing stores, then look at the people, the real people walking around. Isn't it totally stupid that none of those real people look like the advertisements?
Start on the inside, love yourself on the inside. If you do, you'll see the truth about stretch marks.
It may also help you to get to see some "other bodies", real women's bodies. For me, I felt so horrible about my c-section scar and my saggy belly, I just wanted to cry all the time but I found this site where women posted pictures of their bellies and scars. I realized that real women look just like me. The pictures on some websites of post-baby bellies are ridiculously unrealistic. For you, I don't know where to tell you to look, but if you look, I know you'll find girls who have the same body concerns you do.
There's a really good book called "Body Drama" you should try to check out. Flickr.com has lots of great REAL body pictures too.
Don't be two worried unless your body is going into total infestation of stretch marks,, Every human gets them, meaning men and woman. It is proven that almost 98% of woman get/all ready have stretch marks. It's normal. And your only 14 so don't worry. Stretch marks are just new skin kind of like a scar, but they do go away in a little period of time. if their purple, they will go away. if there really red or yellow, You are most likely to have them forever. But BE CAREFUL when you tan, all stretch marks turn white. Hopes this helps! :) SMile.
Sadly, as teenagers, many get stretch marks because you grow so fast. There is scar fade cream you can buy at any drugstore and it works well. Laser removal is an option but extremely expensive.
Stretch marks are a normal part of puberty. Read here http://kidshealth.org/teen/your_body/beautiful/str... They will diminish over time. Until then there are lotions and creams, that help them fade, surgeries for them are not recommended for people in their teens because you are still growing and you will continue to get them.
You can reduce their appearance to make them look more silvery by using vitamin e oil, scar cream (like mederma) and cocoa butter. You can't get rid of them.
You can get creams to fade them. Go to a pharmacy and ask the cosmetician.
Yup- cocoa butter works, as well as modest weight loss. They fade pretty quickly then.
