It seems that you and your doctor disagree as to whether nor not your axillary nodes are enlarged. If your doctor felt the swelling, it would be apparent that it was either nodes or not.
"there is only swelling for which i can take ibuprofen or Tylenol." -- Ibuprofen is an NSAID, which means non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug. It can reduce inflammation, thereby reducing swelling caused by inflammation. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is not an NSAID and has no effect on inflammation. Both are analgesics (pain relievers).
"What should i do." -- Call your doctor's office now and have the medical assistant who answers inform the doctor that the swelling is back and can the doctor look at it while it's present? And request a BMP (basic metabolic panel) and CBC (complete blood cell count) if your doctor doesn't suggest them just to be thorough. Your doctor should also palpate your cervical nodes, the ones in front and behind your ears and the ones at the back of your head. Again, to be thorough. It's easy to miss the little things.
"What causes it??" -- I can't tell you for a fact that you have axillary lymphadenopathy but I can tell you what causes lymphadenopathy. Lymphadenopathy is related to infection. If the enlargement is confined to one area (local lymphadenopathy), it will be in the vicinity of the infection. If the lymphadenopathy has caused nodal enlargement everywhere on the body (generalized lymphadenopathy), this could mean a widespread infection, such as an HIV infection.
"Can i start taking ciprofloxin for infection or wait for sometime" -- Interesting question. I thought you were already taking a medication to treat a UTI and that medication would be an antibiotic, right? So why would you start a second antibiotic and where would you get it? Antibiotics aren't always the answer for lymphadenopathy. The causes can be viral or due to certain cancers (and, no, I'm not suggesting you may have cancer).
If the swelling is there now, then have your doctor evaluate it while it's there.
Sure, it is ok. Lymph nodes are an fundamental a part of the immune system and it's no longer unique which you can think them. They frequently get enlarged for a while when they are fighting off some illness, and then curb once more. If one or more is growing continually (over weeks), then you definately should get a verify up, but or else please ignore them. They are no more prone to get cancer than different parts of your physique.
more information might help to see if anyone has related symtpoms or stories.
when did it start? how often does it happen? eat anything? do any drugs? gone to the gym? have any diseases? any other noticeable symptoms not normal?
