My absolute fave sub sandwich is the Italian BMT from Subway. I like mine consisting of: wheat bread, 1 kind of cheese (I forget which --- It's been a long time since I've been to Subway.); also, salami, pepperoni and ham for the meats;
for the veggies --- olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles and possible other vegetables; also, regular mustard, salt and Parmesan cheese on top.
If you want a REAL sub, you have to get one from either south Jersey, Philadelphia, or Delaware near the PA border. It's something with the bread. But my favorite is a Italian sub with american cheese instead of provalone. A real Italian sub has to come with oil, no vinegar, but that's just in my book. I think the best are at White House Subs in Atlantic City. The bread is from Formica Brothers bakery!

Bacon lettuce tomatoes pickles lots of them topped with hot peppers and mayo
i like anything with either turkey or grilled chicken and mustard, banana peppers, cucumbers, and pickles
i used to love french fry po boys but my favorite is tuna.
