What utilities are paid in an apartment varies depending on the landlord and the apartment. Ask and then choose the better apartment. Happy Holidays and enjoy your new apartment.
It depends on the apartment complex, but most make you hook up and pay your own electric, gas, phone/internet, water/sewer, and cable/satellite. Some, older apartments especially, may not have had individual water meters istalled when built, so in that case water would be included. If it's an apartment that's attached or under/above a house, typically some or all utilities would be included because there aren't separate meters.
Any rental ad should tell you if any utilities are included. A quick call will confirm.

Unfortunately, this will vary widely from complex to complex. In my apartment, I pay gas, electric, phone, cable, heat, and water.
Almost EVERY place will make you pay your own electrical, phone, and cable. Some will pay heat, and some will pay for water.
Good luck!
What utilities are included varies from property to property. You have to check with each individual property.
Have sex with the landlord and you won't have to pay much of anything.
