This is my last year of high school and I'm supposed to be applying for colleges and stuff. Problem is I don't have much money and I'll be paying my own way. I could really use some help on would it be cheaper to go straight to a university or should I go to a community college for two years and then transfer? Please Help??!!

If you have any A+ go to community college because you could get it for free. I would also take that time to apply for grants and scholarships. At community college the classes are a little easier than at a university and they are a whole lot cheaper, but unless you just want a AA then you will have to eventually go to a university. The only down side about going to a community college is that you will miss out on the whole freshman experience. It is stressful, but you learn a lot and grow up real fast during that one year. You are on your own, you don't have mom and dad to say go to school and do your homework, and you have so many new things to try. I loved going straight to a university but it is expensive and if you are paying for yourself without grants and scholarships it could be hard to go to class full time and work enough hours to pay for the classes. If you play an instrument there are a lot of grants and scholarships if you do band or choir in college for many universities. You'll just have to look online and see what you can find. You can also contact some schools you are thinking of and see what they have to offer. Hope this helps!
Community college, then college. A large percent drop out of college in the freshman year.
You may be able to get some financial aide or a grant. College isn't for everyone.
Always, always, always community college. You take your gen. ed. courses there(you need to specifically check each one with a counselor first to make certain that exact course will transfer to the university)when you get to university you take you majors. Taking the gen. ed. at a university is going to cost three times more money but get you nothing more in return.
You know what's cheaper and smarter? Go to work right after high school. Make money and gain experience. Then go to college.
