This is a complete old wives' tale. You don't get drunk any faster (or slower) by drinking through a straw than any other way. A given quantity of ethanol consumed over a given amount of time produces the exact same blood alcohol content no matter how the alcohol was ingested. Period.
The reason is because you usually drink more, faster, when using a straw. The more you drink, and the faster you drink it, the faster you will become intoxicated.

It's not a myth. It's true.

That's a myth.

You don't. It's just a silly rumour, although you might suck on a straw more causing you to drink more.
Never heard of it. It is the amount of alcohol you drink not the way you drink it.
You don't. And I suggest you don't listen to myths perpetrated by idiots.
