I went to my best friends 21st birthday party just about 2 weeks ago and had to wear formal attire for the occasion. I had to wear my brothers dress shoes being mine were no where to be found. I went to the party had my fun and danced a little bit, nothing exaggerated. The next day I awoke with tremendous pain just beneath my knee, I cant tell if the pain is on the knee or on the shin. From my petite understanding of knees the swelling seems to be right where the knee and the shin meet. I'm getting better now but for several days after the party it was difficult walking up the stairs and couldn't carry a thing up any flight of stairs; barely even my self and felt as if I would fall forward. It's much better now and I still feel it occasionally. There is a light bump where the pain is, I have never noticed that there but its on both knees so I cannot tell if it has always been there. I want to start going back on my runs soon but I'm afraid it will create a bigger problem. Any suggestions? Anyone know what it is?
