Neither. Dish soap is designed to remove the oil from dishes, pots, and pans. The only time we recommend using it is if the dog has gotten into something that must come off immediately, like if he's having a reaction to a cheap flea product. Human shampoo is the wrong PH for dogs. And human shampoo is also designed to remove the oils from our human hair. The only shampoo that is good for dogs is dog shampoo. If your dog hasn't rolled in skunk or anything like that, then just wait untiil you get the shampoo. If he's muddy, just use warm water today and get the shampoo to bathe him in tomorrow.
Both are harmless to dogs if you use them once and rinse them off. If your dog got into something like engine oil, then the dish soap would be the right choice, preferably Blue Dawn as it is formaldehyde free.
Other good choices are Johnsons No More Tears, its the right PH for dogs skin, is a gentle detergent and genuinely no more tears. Its actually better than many dog shampoos. Most are more harsh or contain numbing agents for their eyes.
Or baby bath, thats actually low detergent and salty.
Edit; Its very easy to research the ingredients of the product using google, so you can make your own mind up. But all 'no more tears' dog shampoos contain numbing agents, they have to as the detergent is harsh to eyes.
Johnsons Baby Bath is low detergent and the same PH as water...
Moving from "hair" to pets-dogs. Never use human hair care products on animals and never use anything that isn't specifically made for dogs. Things that are harmless to humans can be poison to dogs -such as chocolate. We love chocolate and it's harmless to us but it kills dogs when they eat it. Same with hair care products -some things that are harmless to us are highly irritating to dogs.

Neither??
either do dog shampoo, or liquid castile soap
Neither as dogs shouldn't be bathed* unless vet recommended and/or prescribed.
