Some British/English people can be rude. They can be brutally honest and very opinionated. When I mean rude, I try to use examples of Simon (American Idol) Gordon Ramsay (Hells Kitchen) ect. I think you know what I mean.

I've been around them and worked with a lot of them. They don't seem to be as energetic as Americans. They seem to be more conservative than Americans. I guess that is why they have that stereotype of being 'boring stiffs'.

simon cowell and gordon ramsay are the exceptions in britain hardly anyone is as rude and blunt as them. For us brits watching america's next top model and seeing how confident all the women are is a shock! we are confident but we don't like performing and showing off. We are very modest, not boring.

You're right about the opinionated view, but you forget, that us British, head held high in pride, are very good at five things;

1. Complaining

2. Queueing (This only seems to work here in England)

3. Complaining about Queueing

4. Drinking Tea

5. Being Better Than You

But the last one was quite a biast view, me being English and all.

We aren't all Cockneys, we don't speak in Rhyme.

Most of the Stereotypes, are of Cockney's and People from South England, with posh accents.

We normally just want to get on with our lives, and not worry about those of others, so I can see where you get the rudeness from.

You can't say someone is boring just because of their nationality.

And may i point out you seem to be refering to ENGLISH people and not BRITISH people.

Simon Cowell is famous for being harsh... it his job. Gordon Ramsay is a chef and with all my working in a kitchen chef's can tend to be shouty sometimes. (I think thats they're 'sterotype'.)

i highly doubt that all brits are like simon or gordon. they're paid to be arrogant. i've noticed there is good and bad in all cultures. there are quite a few of us americans who give the rest of us a bad name. i do think that many brits tend to be more conservative but that's no big deal. someone has to be.

i do no longer comprehend approximately you like, yet I drink gallons of tea and might wither and die with out it. and that i do no longer think of individuals are fats idiots. Nor do i think of that individuals are of the perception that we talk like the Queen. And to Nicola J: we're not advise or grumpy. we are only reserved and dignified, in assessment to individuals who look to sense the ought to tell a man or woman their life tale 5 minutes after first assembly.
