I'm a girl, 5'1, weighing about 85 lbs. I run cross country and track. I'm about to be a sophomore in high school and the upcoming cross country season will be my 3rd year. My current PR(personal record) is a 21:11. My best mile time is a 6:05 with no effort. I'm training hard this summer with 45-55 miles per week including one rest day. Any tips, tricks, or advice?

if you practice hard then anything is possible. what you should do is run 2 miles at a 6:30 mile pace for a week. Then the next week move up to 2.5 miles and run that at a 6:30 average mile pace. Then for the third week move to a 2.75 miles and run that at a 6:30 mile pace. And for the 4th week run a 5k with a 6:30 mile pace. You should also go to a track if you live by one and do some a couple fast 800m and some fast 400m runs. And it is also a good idea to run in some 5k races. make sure to rest at least once a week tho:) and good luck!
