I'm 14 and I've been having chest pains while breathing for 1-2 years. It usually occurs randomly and I often wake up to the pains. (Lasts maybe 3 to 5 minutes) It's only when I inhale deeply. I've also found that when I drink water it usually makes the pain go away but I don't think I'm dehydrated...any ideas? Yes I've told my parents and I'm going to the doctor soon but I'd like to see if anyone may know what's going on. It happens maybe once every three weeks.. If you're already going to the doctor, I wouldn't leave anything to speculation on here. Regardless of what we tell you, the doctor is always the most accurate opinion, and there's a very good chance whatever answer you get on here is wrong. Just wait.
