I have 2 tubs of Philadelphia cream cheese that i bought for a special occasion but now i cant use them.. i was wondering what are some good recipes i can use with philadelphia cream cheese?
Mix 1 tub of cream cheese with an equal amount of ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup sugar (more or less to taste) and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla for a superb filling for blintzes.
Mix 1 tub of cream cheese with 1/2 cup shredded carrots, 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion, and 1-2 cloves of garlic (minced) for a tasty spread for crackers, filling for sandwiches, or stuffing for celery or mushroom caps.
Mix 1 tub of cream cheese, softened and stirred, with 1 cup sugar (or Splenda for low-carb) and 1/2 small container of Cool Whip. Place in a serving dish (I use an 8"-square glass dish) and layer on 2 cups of fruit--whatever is in season (such as blueberries or peaches) or a can of drained crushed pineapple, or bananas. Top with the rest of the Cool Whip for a warm-weather dessert.
If your sweet tooth needs attention, make FUDGE. Soften 1 tub of cream cheese, add 4 ounces (4 squares) of unsweetened baking chocolate (or semi-sweet if that's what you have), melted, and mix. Then add 4 cups sifted confectioner's sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and (if desired) 1 cup chopped nuts (I use pecans or walnuts). Spread in a buttered 8"-square dish and chill for an hour; cut into squares.
Mix one tub of whipped cream cheese with one jar of marshmallow fluff..perfect dip for fruit.......
Put the tub of cream cheese in a bowl and pour salsa over it for tortilla chips.......
Broccoli, chicken and rice casserole. Cook the rice, chicken and broccoli first separately then add them all together with the cream cheese....
Use leaftover baked chicken, cream cheese (1 8 oz. pkg.) and a small can of green chiles – mix together and heat trough. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray. Fill flour tortillas with the chicken, chile, cream cheese mixture, roll up and place seam down in dish. Cover enchiladas with 1 can green enchilada sauce and either shredded cheddar or mont. jack cheese. Bake @ 350 for 15-20 minutes. Yummy and will serve 4-6 (you can stretch this this pretty easily)
Add some powdered sugar, a bit of milk or water, and raspberry jam or lemon juice. Delicious on cupcakes! Or, have a bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers.
