Decent Cars Under 8k? HELP?
Alright so I'm buying a car soon but im not really sure what to get. Hope you guys can help me.
All i really want is good mileage (25+MPG) and 150-200 Horsepower so the car isnt slow but isnt fast either.
Oh and i prefer a 4 Cylinder because V6 usually have bad mileage but if you can prove me wrong go right ahead.
I was looking at the Mazda3, and the VW GTI 1.8T and a couple others

A good car they'll get you pretty decent gas mileage and decent speed but lots of options go with an RX8. If you're looking more on the side of fuel economy and just daily use type of thing go with the civic. If you're looking for a nice fast good gas mileage car for that price definitely go with a 350z.
RX8-rotary,about 20 mpg, 238 hp manual 200 auto
Civic-all kinds of different models easily get 30+ mpg with about 140 hp stock
350z- 6 cylinder, highly modifiable with tons of options, about 25 mpg, about 290 hp (you'll have to do some good research to find one for that price but they have a few on autotrader right now)

The day after Thanksgiving, 2008, I bought a decent used auto with 175,000 miles for $1,500. $eight,000 will purchase a decent used automobile from a vendor at full retail. Put out of your mind the mileage. Seem for a well maintained car. A mid ninety's car that was once looked after will also be more safe than a 2007 that was once mistreated.
Honda civic, you can get a used 98-02 in great condition for about 3500-4000, then use the other 4000 to do what ever the hell you want with it
Try hunting down a Ford Focus SVT. Probably one of the sportiest compacts you can get and has roughly 170 HP. Also a Scion tC.
