Now before you say, "of course not! Messi is like 5"5'." Consider that the Zidane, Ronaldo, Batistuta, Crespo were over 6ft and their height gave them their edge over defendors in a way messi never had. I am 15 and currently 5'6 and been like this for 3yrs already. I play as a forward and I had to change my playing style because I no longer had the body run through taller defendors. I am afraid I will stay this height. I miss having the height advantage.
Update:Yeah I know that low center of gravity crap but that gets you fouled a lot. This guy broke my leg last year after I outran him. I still prefer height its so much easier to lose players with height.

Height translate to power, which translate endurance and staying power. Increased advantage in stride and heading. Short players either step up and learn to deal with it, and find advantages that they can bring to the table. Ball handling, speed, moves, determination.... or they succumb. I can say that soccer offers the smaller player the opportunity to compete with larger players... unlike almost any other sport.

Only to head the ball besides that shorter players move a lot faster due to their low center of gravity. Some short players still beat tall defenders because they can jump real high and time the balls projectivity
No, height doesn't affect you in soccer player. Look at such players as Lionel Messi, and Diego Maradona, two of the best soccer players to ever play the game. Also, Fabio Cannavaro, one of the most world renowned and best defenders ever
Height matters heaps.
Do you know why Peter Crouch was chose to play for the national team of England?
Because he is 201 cm.
I was thinking of Zola and how he used to terrorize defenders in his time with his fast play style.
*it also helped that he was one of the best players with the ball at his feet.
which is the taller man , he can play the goal keeper hardly and can heading a good.this is the first advantage.
