Someone said it does. Not asking on comments from the name itself.Just if it sounds masculine.
Both Josephine and Ava are girl names. So I would disagree. What do you think?
Also I am from the U.S and using the U.K format because they changed to U.S format and I do not like it.
Update:Joseph Adam?
I am trying to come up with a girls name. That is the purpose of this question.I do not need boy name suggestions.

I'm using the Canadian one ca.answers.yahoo.com for the same reason. I'm still able to see all the US questions on that one, where as when I go in the UK one for some reason I can't.
Josephine Ava doesn't sound masculine at all. I love the name Josephine. There's lots of names where there's a female variant: George and Georgia, Andrew and Andrea, Christopher and Christina, Charles and Charlotte, Eugene and Eugenia, etc.
By the way, I know you want to use middle name Lisa. Josephine Lisa is actually very pretty if you like the name.
Josephine is the femine version of Joseph which is probably why some people think it sound masculine.
I love Ava as a girl's name (SO Cute!).
If you think it's be an issue, maybe consider switching the order to Ava Josephine? Worst I can see happening is maybe Josephine gets shortened to Joe or Joey by peers...?
But I can't see it being a major issue, they are both girls names, and cute ones at that. :)
I don't like the format either! I changed to the UK one :)
I think Josephine Ava does NOT sound masculine at all and I don't know why anyone would think otherwise. It's a very pretty name.
From an English person's point of view, I dont like Josephine at all. It sounds quite masculine because it's so seldom used them when heard, people automatically think of Joseph, which obviously has such masculine connotations. Ava is pretty though, although rather popular.
I love both Josephine and Ava, and they are definitely girls' names! That's ridiculous if someone thinks it is masculine. The only way Josephine could be masculine is if you called her Jo.
I don't think it sounds masculine.
Not really considering they are girls names maybe Joeseph Adam instead
I can't see how it would.
