I have just put in a Headunit in my car, Pioneer AVIC Z140 and i have a 12' sub and amp in my trunk, now im focusing on the mids and highs of the sound system. Does anyone have a good reccomendation on some good quality speakers? i was thinking about getting the JL360/4 amp and putting some speakers to it. I know quite a bit about subs and what power ratings are needed for some decent sound. But i know nothing about the mids and highs or what a good power rating is or what to look for. So if anyone can help out i would appreciate it. My budget for the speakers is somewhere in the $300-400 range. I have a 7 speaker setup stock. I have a sub already, so i would need 2 tweeters and a speaker for each of the four doors in my car.
Much Appreicated guys, Danny

A good set of speakers should sound good on any type of music. Often times you don't need to replace all of the speakers to get the great sound you are looking for. You could start with the front doors first and see where that gets you. With a great sounding front stage you might not need to replace the rest of the speakers. Crescendo Audio makes great equipment, much higher quality than common brands that you might have heard of before and the stuff they sell in walmart or best buy. I would reccomend any of their products but for this purpose the Mezzo series set will work great. (Also while the pro audio pwx and ft1 are great in their own respect, they are just plain LOUD and the mezzo series will have better sound quality)

It depends a lot on your style of music. If you are like me and listen to a lot of different music like rap rock and country then I would recommend kicker speakers all the way including the subs and amps. If you like to listen to a lot of bass I would recommend alpine pioneer or Sony. If you listen to acoustic then I would recommend Infinity speakers. If you listen to a lot of live concert music and orchestra and jazz, go for JBL. If your looking for something cheap to replace factory speakers, Dual, Plye, Express, Scorche, or JVC.
