Today there is a challenged called "Linked up with Bungie.net" . It says to "link your gamertag with Bungie.net and play a game in Halo Reach matchmaking". How do I do this?

I haven't played it yet today but I will in a few hours, usually when you go to the challenges and scroll through till you are on that specific challenge at the bottom of the screen it says hit the "a" button to jump tho appropriate lobby for this challenge. Like I said I haven't played today but that help message is always there.
