State your religion and a fact that you don't think many others know. This can be a religious wide fact (i.e. some doctrine of your religion or belief) or a personal fact (i.e. maybe something you know about the chruch/temple/ect. you attend or the religious history of the area you live in). I think most of us don't really know a lot about religions besides our own, and this is a chance to do what this section is all about, sharing information.
I'm Catholic and a little known fact about my local church is that the hispanic community banded together to buy the statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe and build a small gratto for her (which is in our church's front yard). This statue was used in every service dedicated to Our Lady since it was purchased four years ago.
Now, you go. And please, no bashing another religion.
Update:I have to agree with Tiyra. An old friend of mine told me that when he served in the American military, he had Necromancer on his dog tags. For dog tags, at least, they recognize several religions. Tombstones is a different matter, yes.

I'm a Buddhist and a misconception many have about Buddhism is that rebirth and karma are its focal points. In fact it focuses above all on a set of moral precepts that should be adhered to. It is first and foremost a system of practical philosophy and metaphysics are of secondary importance.
Pagan, with strong Wiccan influence. One thing I found interesting is that the statue that you find outside of many courthouses - the woman with the blindfold and the scales and sometimes sword - can be traced back to the Greek and Roman Goddess(es) of Justice, Themis and Justitia.
(Point of clarification to PrincessPlum - Wiccans have been able to have "Wicca" on their dog tags since the late 1990s - 1997, I believe. We are still fighting to have the Pentacle recognized as an approved symbol by the Veteran's Administration for grave markers in VA-run cemeteries. The State of Nevada circumvented the VA and authorized a pentacle on Stewart's marker on their memorial, but I believe that was a one-time authorization...)
I'm an atheist. The principal thing that people should know about it is the following proved theorem: The predictive power of any theory derives exclusively from its refutability. Corollary: An irrefutable theory is useless: it can predict nothing. And, where do we go with this? Since all theories of god are irrefutable, all are useless: none can predict anything about the real world. To help understand this, suppose that you predict that there will be a high tide at 12:07 PM tomorrow. If there is a god, he could choose to have this become not true, so your prediction becomes undependable.
I have deepest respect for all the religions of the world, I am a Muslim and go to a mosque for praying which is 5 times a day, we have two Eids one is after the month of Ramadan which is called Eid-UL-Fitr and the 2nd one is after Hajj which is called Eid-UL- Adah. Islam like rest of the religions of the world is a peace loving religion the image of which is being blackened by some fundamentalists which I presume all religions have.
I thought God commanded you not to worship other Gods or idols.... Isnt a statue (graven image), a grotto and services (worship) dedicated towards her considered polytheism under the guise of monotheism???

You ask for personal pov... so here it is... I am of The True Christian Faith. I came to be of The Faith at the age of 53. My Salvation is by direct intervention of God. I did not go looking for Him. but God was there when I needed Him.

I know for absolute fact that: All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation and will become of The Body of The Chuuch of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. These are those who's Salvation is assured. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.

The Pagan religion(s) were not recognized by the Military for many years. Only this year has it been recognized as a 'true' religion by the Military service and one of our was allowed to use the Pentacle as a grave marker in a military cemetary.

2. Most people don't know that according to the Bible that a Christlike character is the qualification for heaven because a Christlike character is the only kind of character that could enjoy heaven and the only kind of character that can be safely trusted in heaven.
3. The motive for reading the Bible deternmines whether or not one will understand or misunderstand the Bible.
Wrong motive = wrong understanding
Right motive = right undertanding
4. According to the Bible, those who reject the love of God and His plan for developing a beautiful character before death will perish in the lake of fire with the devil and the angels that fell with him after the final judgment
5. Character cannot be changed after death or in the judgment.
6. God does not save anyone against their will or without their cooperation.
