I woke up with this immense pain in the lower part of my (right) palm and it radiates through my hand and up my arm. It is absolutely awful pain, and it's almost scaring me a bit. I think it maybe carpal tunnel or something of that sort since I do write a lot, type a lot, and last night before bed I was playing Ninento DS and I have a feeling I was putting pressure on that part of my hand. Any suggestions or maybe ideas of what it is if I'm wrong and how to relieve some of this discomfort? Thank you so much.

it could be tendinitis.if it is, it will just get worse if you don't do anything about it.
YES, despite what everyone says, you can have pain on the left side with appendicitis. I am living proof of it. I had appendicitis as a teen, it confused everyone because my pain was on the left, caused them to misdiagnose me, sent me home with antibiotics for a UTI and my appendix ruptured later on that night. Have never experienced such pain in my life. Having a baby without pain meds did not even come close. The toxins spread all through out my body cavity, corroding all my inner organs. Almost died. Don't recommend it! My appendix were just where they were supposed to be, on the right side (at least until they exploded) but my pain was most definitely on the left side. The doctors used a medical term for it, which unfortunately I don't remember, it is rare but it does happen.
Try to rest that hand if you possibly can. Massaging it might help.
Sounds like palm abuse to me. lol
I wish you well.
