In Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss?
Would you guess Prince Orlofsky was a little tipsy in Chacun a son gout? I was wondering if I should have a wine goblet as a prop to my performance. What have you seen or would you suggest to add comedy to the aria? I want to crack people up on this one.

how bout orlavsky in company of a st bernard dawg haulin a 50 gallon kegger with a spigot in a red flyer wagon,,,,arthur fiedler conducted der fledermaus in boston in the 1950s,,,,,,the fella working in maintanance had to prepare the marquee with the large letters,& stuff announcing the performance,when the maestro showed up to warm up & stuff,he stepped out front for fresh air before curtain time,looked up at the sign,and it read,TONIGHTS PERFORMANCE AT 8 O CLOCK';DER FIEDLERMAUS' CONDUCTED BY ARTUR FLEDER,,,,,,the signmaker was subsequently employed by the animator of bullwinkle as a model for the little guy with the moustasche who put up wall paper and swept up when rocky & bullwinkle popped up in the cornfields at the catoons end

never saw an Orlovsky drunk he is involved to much in the deception to be tipsy but the glass has been the hand of every Orlovsky I've seen
