Bad battery connection or the battery is not fully charged. Clicking you hear is the starter selenoid cycling because of insufficient amperage to engage.
Most common is internal failure on the starter. Most of the time you can prove this by tapping on the starter with a hammer as you are turning the key to start (You can use a pry bar or extension if you cant directly hit it with a hammer). If it starts as you do this then you know it is a bad starter.
