My 12 year old sister, is 118 pounds, and about 5 foot 2 ish. She goes to a school where she is surrounded by skinny girls, she feels really fat. The only "fat" parts of her body are her thighs, calf and a little bit of tummy fat. She doesn't do a sport, but that's just because she really hates them. She takes walks once in a while but not that often. What can she do to lose weight?? Her goal is to lose 5-7 pounds.....Far fetched I know, but she is determined. What can she do??

Go on walks with her or take up dancing or swimming. Fitness doesn't have to be boring.
I do advise her to watch her portions, but not strictly diet.
Going to a nutritionist would help her understand her dietary needs. You can also google the amount of protein, carbs, veggies, etc.that she's supposed to be eating. Good luck. Your sister is lucky that she has your support!
BTW, running can be hard on the knees. If you're going to run, wear proper shoes on grass--not asphalt.
How to Calculate Your Protein Needs:
1. Weight in pounds divided by 2.2 = weight in kg
2. Weight in kg x 0.8-1.8 gm/kg = protein gm.

Running is the best solution. It will help her height and will allow her to lose weight. Tell her to run as many laps as she can in 12 min. Make sure the field is good in length. Don't opt for dieting, the body just slows the rate of metabolism so it won't help.
