Yes it is. Too many people think it is only articulation therapy, but in fact it is much more than that! Stuttering, voice therapy, post-stroke/aphasia therapy, language impairment, dyslexia, swallowing disorders, cochlear implant/hard-of-hearing communication therapy, alternative/augmentative communication method teaching, assessing linguistic development of prematurely born children, communication therapy for mentally retarded, autistic people, people with cerebral palsy & other neurological problems (speech-language related) and so on!
