I dont think being starved as a child would result in a eating disorder later. If anything I would think it would maybe be where the person got heavier and ate alot to make up for it.
Anorexia is usually formed when someone thinks they are overweight, when they really arent. They look in the mirror and all they see is fat.Usually they will have some sort of insecurity with themselves before the anorexia really starts.Like with myself I have been self-concious since I was in the second grade. They think that if they are skinny, that they will be perfect. When all it really does is make you look worse
acutally, the main two causes of eating disorders are parental influence, and emotional issues. so being starved as a child, depending on what age, that could result in a eating disorder. the main two types of eating disorders are obesity, and anorexia. obesity, is when the body has to much weight, lots of excess body fat, high cholestral, and high blood pressure. this can be caused by eating fatty, greasy foods from places like burgerking, mcdonalds, wendys etc.
now anorexia is the exact opposite. that means that anorexia is when the body does not get enough food. this can be caused by getting the amount, or none of the amount of food a average person needs.
People get eating disorders because they are extremely insecure with themselves and feel the only way people will like them is if they are skinny. Eating disorders are a mental health condition. I am sorry to hear that happened to you when you were little, but the chances of it leading you to be anorexic in the future is very, very slim.
eating disorder have my causes, it could include: society pressure, pervious accident, parental abuse, peers abuse, behavoiral disturbances, low self-esteem...and those are often the high achievers who are good at everything...its not exclusively related to being good looking..few of the patients I encountared had parents going through problems, had loved-one lost...
