I wanted to know what the safe temperature range was for the AMD A6-3400m CPU. Right now, when I have the computer under load (i.e. playing games) the temperature according to Core Temp is 80 C+, while the idle is between about 57-65 C.
I am using an Asus A53TA-XE2 model laptop, which uses the A6-3400m CPU and integrated HD 6520. I also have the HD 6650 dedicated card. I know these things can crank up the heat a pretty good amount, but nowhere I'm looking seems to have a straight answer for me. I've seen reviews and articles saying that they are designed to take more heat because they are made for laptops, but this still seems way high; as opposed to like the normal 60 C under load for other CPU's. There isn't a ventilation issue and all the vents a clear and free. I've been looking into cooling pads, but I just want to be sure before I invest.
If anyone really knows this processor well and could give me a straight answer I would really appreciate it.
