Okay, so I am going to the salon to get my hair cut today and I need some help. I really like the bob style and everybody I know has told me it will look good on me and that i can pull it off. The thing is, I don't want it too short in the back and neither does my SO because he likes long-ish hair.So I want it not too short in the back and I want it to be chin length and angled so it's longer in the front. I also want it razored on the ends, not blunt because my hair is pretty thick and wavy. The haircut you are describing is the inverted bob. It is shorter in the nape and longer at the front. From experience (love doing that cut, btw) I have found that to get the true inverted bob look, you have to cut the back off right at the hairline, or it just doesn't look the same as a little longer version. It can be left longer in the nape and then angled even longer in the front, but I have noticed that it doesn't lay the same as the shorter version.

That is a very popular cut in my salon and if cut right, is very attractive.

I say try to find a pic of what you want or go to a virtual hairstyler online and find one so they know exactly what you want. Nothing is worse than gettin a cut you don't like. I'm gettin mine cut today too and am nervous and I've got like three pics I'm takin in there to show them!
