Recently my vaginal area has been super wet. I have always kept shaven because I read that it is a cleaner way to live. but now when i hot in the shower I see that my underwear are totally soaked and smelly from the "leakage." I don't think this is normal. I am a virgin. and have no idea if this is normal or what...

It's COMPLETELY NORMAL.
I might recommend you get yourself some panty liners.
I think you'll also notice that it gets worse at about a week or so after you've finished menstrating. It's natures way of making the vaginal walls slippery to help carry sperm (when you do decide to have sex, of course) to the egg. Pretty cool actually how our bodies work...it's the indicator that tells you if you were to have unprotected sex you'd likely get pregnant.
Hope that helps. Do check out the library for books on women's bodies, there's lots of info out there. Nothing to worry about, completely normal.
I have no idea if the shaving has something to do with it (and would totally look it up for you if I didn't share a computer with my three brothers). But it is very very normal to discharge before getting your period ... and it is very normal for your underwear to get VERY wet! If you find that it has a strong odor, or a strange color, talk to your doctor. These symptoms might suggest an infection.
Vaginal discharge is completely normal, even thought it can be annoying. But if it has a strong smell and is uncomfortable, it could be an infection. Vaginal infections are extremely common (even if you're a virgin) and can be cleared up very quickly with antibiotics. Go see your doctor if you're worried you might have an infection.
its normal to have discharge but if ur soaking ur underwear then u may have an infection and even though ur a virgin its still possible so id make an appointment so u can get antibiotics
Yeah, it's no big deal. But the purpose of pubic hair is to absorb some of the moisture there. So if you shave there is no place for it to go.
I have this same issue.
Most likely its just vaginal discharge, a way for your vagina to keep itself clean.
Wear a pantyliner, it helps..
If you still have more concerns, call your doctor.
It's normal, that's discharge. I have to wear pantyliners, cause it feels gross down there sometimes.
