Women are not complex at all. They just think they are so they can get away with everything. They don't want limits. We all went through that experience when we were teenagers, we thought we knew it all , we were so complex and our parents simple and lame, we wanted to be the center of attention. The difference is that most men grow out of it, most women don't.

John, women are very complicated. I dunno what to tell you besides that. It may be that she said she wanted the thing joking. Not really expecting you to buy it. (For example weight loss medication or a gym membership) Then you go and buy it and she starts annalyzing. Well he must think I'm fat. This is just an example. Try to put yourself in your womans place. Talk to her. She might explain it. BUT! If you ask be prepaired to hear whatever she has to say.

I liked the second answer... Well, that's what I was giong to tell you: read that book. I'm not saying everything is true, and everything applies to everyone, but it really helps.

As for your wife, she must be going through something unpleasant, otherwise I don't understand why she would say that. I mean, she did mention she liked it!

Try to read between the lines, there are certain undertones...ie. when you ask if its ok for her to wait a bit and she says ok but she said that while tapping her shoes on the floor...or if her ok didnt sound ok...then maybe she doesnt want to wait for a bit....

a woman may say that she likes something but it does not necessarily mean that she wants you to buy that for her....because sometimes...somethings arent meant to be bought by the boyfriend or the husband because a little gift might draw lots of conclusions on her side....i.e. does he think i really need to lose weight? are my breasts too small? do i look that bad already that he had to buy me this or that...?

and when women say yes sometimes they mean it...and sometimes its a no...so youd have to be extra sensitive

Men don't understand women because men are very simple minded. Women have complex minds, meaning we can concentrate on more than one thing at the same time. Women don't understand men because as much as we would like for them to have complex minds, they don't. It is difficult for men to understand women and vice versa.

We all know women are emotional creatures, much moreso than men.

In my experience the reason why men cannot understand women is because women get too caught up in emotional connections and expect men to understand them on a psychic level. One of my girlfriends was so tied up thinking about our relationship that she believed we were so made for each other that she expected me to actually know what she was thinking.

This hyper-emotional attachment is also a reason why girls never give us guys enough information. They expect us to decode their subtle winks, nods, and sighs instead of telling us flat out what's on their mind.

I think women are predisposed to believing in fairy-tale romances, big weddings, soul-mate ideas of love that they forget that the other half of the relationship need real information.

Perhaps they feel you are not expressive enough... that is all .. Normally wives expect that.. men not always but often fail to understand the exact nature of attention expected by wives..if it is not understood.. other things called misunderstanding may follow...
