Why does my laptop screen drastically dim when i unplug my power cord?
It has nothing to do with how bright my screen is. I've used the fn key to try that, its when i unplug my power cord a few seconds later, the light on my screen drastically gets lower and i dont know why, it just started doing this.

it goes into power saving mode. you can change this by clicking in the bottom right corner icon that looks like a battery and theres a bubble that says 'power saving' unclick that and click the other bubble or whatever.or adjust screen brightness.

I would guess that it is because your battery is getting old and worn out and will not hold a full charge any more.
